Recognized Permittee Procedure
To become a recognized permittee of Local 295, the following procedure will be in effect.
1) Fill out a permittee application form (Available HERE).
2) Mail, email or drop off the application along with a current resume to the Union.
3) Make sure to attach any pertinent certificates such as Set Protocol.
Your application will be reviewed by members at the next Membership and Training Committee meeting.
If the Committee deems that you have relevant experience and/or training they will approve your application and you will receive confirmation that your application has been accepted.
If the Committee deems that you do not have relevant experience and/or training they will not approve your application and you will receive confirmation and be advised on some options of where you can gain experience and /or training.
Once accepted, your name will be added to our roster in the pertinent department. This roster is available to all Department Heads when they are crewing a project and if there are not sufficient Members to fill their needs they can request permission form the Union to hire a Permittee.
